Progress by Dennis Lange

Progress
There was a grave fellow named Bullet
With no sense of humor, not one bit.
But we’ve seen him improve.
He’s now in his groove.
He’s so pleased that now he’s a halfwit.

You did check to make sure that you don’t have any real-life acquaintances named “Bullet” before you wrote this, right?
We call him “Pistol”, but I don’t think he’ll catch on since he’s just a halfwit.
Laughing, this halfwit & loyal follower; a real cheerier-up, this one. Thank you…
