Trip, one hot summer -
Misery.
* The trip was 700 miles one way.

No Car A/C….Whew! I like these.
just not even healthy in this heat….you could have ended up writing from some hospital somewhere. take better care of yourself. And where did you leave your clothes. “They” told you to keep your clothes on this time……
The trip was a long time ago with my parents when I was much younger. It was still hot and not healthy. I can remember sleeping a lot, being listless all the time, wondering “Are we there yet?”
So sweet, we were so tolerent when young…
I hear it’s been a bit hot over your way. Just had some friends come back from the US and they said it was pretty bad and when Australians say it was hot you can bet it was.
We’ve had our normal Texas summer heat but everyone to the east of us are having hotter than normal temperatures (matching ours or even beating us). And, they’re not accustomed to the heat the way we are.
Well, I like the first one best, but the third one reminds me of so many family vacations in the hot summer time with no air conditioning. Sometimes, I get to thinking about those experiences and wonder how we tolerated it all so well. Of course, kids will sometimes tolerate heat better than adults, but all the adults I knew back then had to travel without air-conditioned cars, and most families lived in homes without air as well. How DID we do it?????
Ah, the good old days.
