Early Morning Drive
Morning fog;
Black cows are grazing
Against gray.
—————————-
Spring flowers
By the road. Plastic
In graveyard.
—————————-
Huge green field
Two dappled ponies
All to self.

Very nice!
Pretty. Sounds like a good start to the day.
But I am intrigued by the contrast you’ve provided in the last sentence of the second stanza. Everything else in the poem is natural, soft, and alive. But they are challenged by those cold, unreal, dead “plastic” flowers in the graveyard. I like it though, because even though the positive natural living things are challenged by the cold dead things, the living beautiful things take over again,and that’s the image we are left with when the poem is finished. Good job.
Yes, the contrast between the living and the dead.
