Garden Guessing

For green pair,
Was forbidden fruit
A green pear?

———–

An apple?
Looked good to the eye –
All shiny.

———-

Or a grape
The fox could not reach,
But they did?

———-

Banana?
Because of the peel,
They slipped, fell?

———-

A cherry?
And ever since, it’s
Been the pits.
