I had to laugh out loud at this one, because that’s exactly the way I’ve been to Chicago. Believe it or not, going just from Cincinnati to St. Louis, we had to fly to Chicago first — and that was through horrific thunderstorms. Then when we got on the ground, they told us we’d need to sit tight while they fixed a problem with the tail of the plane. Whew! I was glad to get home from that trip. I’ve often thought how unusual it is to have lived so many years in Illinois and never have spent time in Chicago. I’ve lived in a lot of different states and traveled fairly extensively to other places — and most of my family makes trips to Chicago — but for some reason, that city just never interested me.
