Roadside signs
That brightened travel –
Burma Shave

For those who don’t know, Burma Shave signs were posted along highways.
In the example above, the first “The one who” would be on the first sign,
and a little way down the highway would be “drives when”, etc.  They kept
you looking for the next one to see what the clever saying would be.

* The haiku I write are lines of 3-5-3 syllables instead of 5-7-5.
