The Bard on the Hill 
The expression on her face in the painting looks like she smells something very unpleasant at the moment. I know when I studied history — and taught history — we learned that so many people — in so many generations — believed it was dangerous to bathe the whole body. But can you imagine the stench???? My mind just doesn’t even want to go there.
Perhaps we have another Madonna with a mysterious look on her face. 🙂 To be fair, Isabella did wash more often than the two baths, just not the whole except those two times.
