sailor kissing nurse

I would like for all to know
That I love you, love you so.
Can the brightness of the sun
Be concealed from everyone?
Can the waters of the sea
Cease their rolling endlessly?

Chorus:
The world is watching – what the heck!
Wrap your arms around my neck.
Kiss me hard and kiss me long;
The world will sing for us a song.

Tilt your head; I see your eyes
Sparkling like the starry skies.
I fall through them and past your face
In-to your deepest inner space.
There, I’m lost, but also found.
‘Tis wonderful – in love, I’ve drowned.

Chorus:
The world is watching – what the heck!
Wrap your arms around my neck.
Kiss me hard and kiss me long;
The world will sing for us a song.

Lift your lips as mine draw near;
Hold me close and never fear.
I will dry your every tear
From your eyes that I hold dear.
And may we always be like this
Entwined as one and filled with bliss.

Chorus:
The world is watching – what the heck!
Wrap your arms around my neck.
Kiss me hard and kiss me long;
The world will sing for us a song.

When I still cared and you did not,
Our loving past a fading dot,
I thought I’d die from all the pain.
With all now lost and naught to gain,
………..My heart cried tears.

Chorus:
They fell like raindrops from the sky;

They flowed like rivers rushing by,
And in their ocean I will die.

My heart still filled my veins with blood
But wet my cheeks with teary flood
For you were so much part of me
That parting was a surgery
………..My heart cried tears.

Chorus:
They fell like raindrops from the sky;

They flowed like rivers rushing by,
And in their ocean I will die.

The years we had were swept away
Without another single day
And I was empty as a net
That’s ripped to shreds by raw regret –
………..My heart cried tears.

Chorus:
They fell like raindrops from the sky;

They flowed like rivers rushing by,
And in their ocean I will die.

You never understood my pain;
You never asked that I explain.
You simply turned your back on me
And left me to my misery –
………..My heart cried tears.

Chorus:
They fell like raindrops from the sky;

They flowed like rivers rushing by,
And in their ocean I will die.

My heart still fills and pumps my blood,
But from my eyes pours forth its flood
Our love is like the rose that’s dry,
Is crushed, released to wind to fly.
………..My heart cries tears.

Chorus:
They fell like raindrops from the sky;

They flowed like rivers rushing by,
And in their ocean I will die.

A man and a woman are separated on a darkened stage, then get closer together and finally meet.  Positions ( )

(1)           (2)           (3)(3)             (2)             (1)

The light shines on the one singing and on neither during the chorus, except in the last position.  There, the light shines on the man and does not go off as the light then shines also on the woman, and on both during the chorus.

(1) M: I sit and sing a lonesome song,
My life is hard and cold.
I sometimes think I’ll never have
A special girl to hold.

(1) F: There’s nights when I can’t fall asleep,
One pillow on my bed,
The only shoulder for my grief
And bitter tears I shed.

Chorus:
M: But one day
F: Someday
M: Says my mind
F: Perhaps I’ll find
M: And then I’ll know,
F: I’ll surely know.
M: And holding hands
F: Through life we’ll go.
M: I’ll love her so.
F: I’ll love him so.

(2) M: I’d give a rib to have a mate;
I’d even give an arm.
This lonely life I’m leading now
Brings my heart far more harm.

(2) F: I know that I have love to give,
But none to give it to.
I ache to find a man for me
With whom to go life through.

Chorus:
M: But one day
F: Someday
M: Says my mind
F: Perhaps I’ll find
M: And then I’ll know,
F: I’ll surely know.
M: And holding hands
F: Through life we’ll go.
M: I’ll love her so.
F: I’ll love him so.

(3) M: I sometimes think she is so near,
That she can hear my cry,
And I could see her lovely face
If I would harder try.

(3) F: The curtain has been lifted;
My sorrow veil is gone.
The warmth and brightness flooding
Is a new loving dawn.

Chorus:
M: And one day
F: This day
M: Says my mind
F: I now have found
M: And I now know
F: I surely know.
M: And holding hands
F: Through life we’ll go.
M: I’ll love you so.
F: I’ll love you so.

a song poem

Help! I need some help!
Won’t someone help me out?
I’m falling, and no doubt
A doctor, nurse can’t help,
An open purse can’t help.

Chorus:
I’m falling; I’m falling;
I’m falling deep in love.
And there’s no help above,
And there’s no help below.
The only one I know
Whose help can e’er help me
Is you and you alone.
Come fall, come fall with me;
Come fall in love with me.

Help! I need some help!
Won’t someone help me out?
The sweetest pain on earth
Has made my heart its berth.
A doctor, nurse can’t help.

Chorus:
I’m falling; I’m falling;
I’m falling deep in love.
And there’s no help above,
And there’s no help below.
The only one I know
Whose help can e’er help me
Is you and you alone.
Come fall, come fall with me;
Come fall in love with me.

Help! I need some help!
Won’t someone help me out?
There is no cure for me
I’ve fallen hopelessly.
A doctor, nurse can’t help.

Chorus:
I’m falling; I’m falling;
I’m falling deep in love.
And there’s no help above,
And there’s no help below.
The only one I know
Whose help can e’er help me
Is you and you alone.
Come fall, come fall with me;
Come fall in love with me.

Heart Flush, Queen High

I’ve fallen, fallen, deep in love
   How is it you don’t know?
It must be in my face and eyes
   It should show in my glow.
My night’s last thought, my dreams – are you,
   The first when I awake.
I sigh, I swoon, I think of you
   With ev’ry breath I take.

Chorus:
Heart flush; queen high
This is the hand you’ve dealt me
These are the cards I hold;
I’d love to lay them on the table
Oh, if I could be so bold.
Heart flush, queen high
This is the hand you’ve dealt me;
These are the cards I hold
I’ve made my bet and I’m all in
Just waiting to be told.

My heart is swollen with its love;
   It’s tender and it’s sore.
It is so filled that it could burst –
   I cannot love you more.
My heart is like a flooded lake
   About to overflow.
One drop of rain, one look from you
   And over it will go.

Chorus:
Heart flush; queen high
This is the hand you’ve dealt me
These are the cards I hold;
I’d love to lay them on the table
Oh, if I could be so bold.
Heart flush, queen high
This is the hand you’ve dealt me;
These are the cards I hold
I’ve made my bet and I’m all in
Just waiting to be told.

The photo doesn’t match the hand I described in
the song.  A heart flush is 5 hearts, not in order
as the photo shows (a straight).  Queen high
would mean the highest card was a queen.  I
didn’t think I’d find one exactly right.  This one
is fine.  🙂

                 Is It Love We Have?

                      (a song poem)

My darling, my darling, it’s no longer funny.
Is it love we have, or is it money?
If there were no dollars, if there were no gold,
Would you be mine to have and hold?
Would you and I forever be
Because you are you and I am me?

     Chorus:
     The love we have, is it there because
     I give gifts like a Santa Claus?
     Am I your sweetest William still?
     Or have I become just a Dollar Bill?

Is it love we have, or is it money?
Is it Sugar Daddy or purest honey?
If the dollar goes down like the British pound,
Will you still love me and stay around?
Will you and I forever be
Because you are you and I am me?

     The love we have, is it there because
     I give gifts like a Santa Claus?
     Am I your sweetest William still?
     Or have I become just a Dollar Bill?

Thought I’d check if you need a check
To hold me tight and hug my neck.
My credit’s good if you need my card,
But if you don’t get it, will I be barred?
Will you and I forever be
Because you are you and I am me?

     The love we have, is it there because
     I give gifts like a Santa Claus?
     Am I your sweetest William still?
     Or have I become just a Dollar Bill?

My Love And Your Love

I love you a lot.
Do you love me a little?
Do you love me enough
To keep my heart that’s brittle
From aching, from breaking,
From falling apart?
Do you love me enough
That you won’t break my heart?

    Chorus:
    My love and your love
    Are no longer twins.
    Your love is ending
    Where mine just begins.
    My love and your love
    Still travel as one,
    But yours is the moon
    And mine is the sun.

My love is forever.
Can you love me a while?
Can you love long enough
So I don’t lose my smile
Tomorrow, to sorrow,
To days that are past?
Can you love long enough
To make my life last?

    My love and your love
    Are no longer twins.
    Your love is ending
    Where mine just begins.
    My love and your love
    Still travel as one,
    But yours is the moon
    And mine is the sun.

My love has great power.
Does yours have some strength?
Do you love strong enough
To go to the length
Of caring, of sharing,
To finish the race?
Do you love strong enough
To give me a place?

    My love and your love
    Are no longer twins.
    Your love is ending
    Where mine just begins.
    My love and your love
    Still travel as one,
    But yours is the moon
    And mine is the sun.
