O world intangible, we touch thee,
O world unknowable, we know thee,
Inapprehensible, we clutch thee.

The eagle plunge to find the air –

Cry – clinging Heaven by the hems;
And lo, Christ walking on the water
Not of Gennesareth, but Thames!
