The following is the epitaph placed on his daughter’s tomb by Mark Twain:
Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here.
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, Good night.
