Saw “Sully”.
Then, drove to dinner,
Chosen place.

Location
Was at a tough spot.
First time there.

The remnants
Of five’s thick traffic
To wade through.

Interstate,
Intersects a loop,
Cloverleaf.

Down.  Under.
Lights and then three turns.
Safe landing!

See, Sully?
I watched carefully.
Fast learner.

Three warnings
By cops who stopped me
Just this year.

Same problem –
A stubborn brake light.
Three “fixes”.

I’m hoping
I’m more stubborn, and
Fourth’s the charm.

A blacksmith
Raises his hammer
Strikes anvil.

This anvil
Raises mighty hand
Strikes blacksmith.

Thunderstorm –
An evil anvil
When twisters.

Thunderstorm –
An angel anvil,
Rain for droughts.

With lightning –
Dramatic.  Thunder –
Tympanic.

We all lived
In aquamarine
Submarine.

Hello, Darkness,
My old enemy.
Here again.

There’s a house
In New Orleans, called
Setting Sun.

Hey, Judas,
Don’t be afraid.  Take
A chill pill.

In Texas,
August – hot and dry
Normally.

This past week
Seven point five says
The rain gauge.

Richter scale
For rain measurement –
Major rain.

Abnormal
For my dry brown grass
Is just fine.

Month of May
City was hit by
Four hailstorms.

Roofers flock;
Adjusters climb, look.
Salesmen call.

Bang, bang, bang
Hail on roof.  Now, bang
Of hammers.

Orange!

Just one dab
On just one paintbrush,
Paints the world.

Deadly Twister

Hangman’s rope
Kills one. The sky’s rope
Kills many.

Keeping Things Out

At all costs:
High, strong, barbed fences –
Guard your heart.

Not allowed to stay
Divided.

The Mississippi.
Win Vicksburg.

Scorch the East;
Cut off Lee’s supplies.
Surrender.
