Dying Day
Setting sun
To it, flaming dive.

Is it sky or sea –
Clouds or waves?

* The haiku I write are lines of 3-5-3 syllables instead of 5-7-5.

I like the title of the first one… it really plays into the piece.
Thanks. When I hit upon the title, I was pleased that it had a double meaning about the haiku.
Both are beautiful. The first one is genius!
Dennis, have you heard about the site named PoemHunter? I found out about it through Dennis O’Brien’s site. It’s really interesting, because poets from all over the world post there, and the site also posts hundreds of poems by all the late and great masters. You can sign up (free) and create your own page, then post all the poems you want. I was surprised that I received a few comments the first day some of mine went up, so I’m hoping there’s some good interaction between the members. I haven’t figured out yet how to respond to a comment right on the other person’s comment. I’ve had to send a personal message to respond so far, but I’m probably missing something. Anyway, just in case you haven’t heard of it and are interested, I’m leaving you the link here:

Thanks for the commments about the poems and thanks for the information. I’ll check it out. Sounds interesting. 2 questions: Do you know if poems can be published there that I’ve already published here? And, if I publish one there first, can I then publish it here?
As far as I can tell, it’s simply a site that allows poets to create a showcase to offer their poems on the Internet. I haven’t read any kind of rules that prohibit using the poems in any manner the poet pleases. They say on the site that the copyrights belong to the poets themselves, so I don’t think there can be any restrictions. I have posted poems that I have on my WP site and on my Blogger site, and Dennis O’Brien has done the same.
