Long, cold walk.
May I sit here please?
Snow, you can’t.

* The haiku I write are lines of 3-5-3 syllables instead of 5-7-5.

All three Haiku were beautiful. The third one was my favorite. Thank you.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed them.
Awesome work…
Thank you!
Dennis, all three of these are absolutely beautiful. And the first two are such perfect examples of the poignancy of life for so many people. Wonderful work on your part.
Thank you very much! I’m glad they struck a chord.
By the way, Dennis, I was going to contact you today anyway to let you know about something. My first anthology of poetry came out this week, and I have dedicated it to you and Dennis O’Brien. The reason for that dedication has to do with your dedication to your own work. I was letting my poetry lag — had been for a couple years — when I met the two of you through WordPress. I feel that both of you have become real friends in this Poetry World of ours, and your great work and your dedication to it have been such an inspiration to me and stirred me to get back to giving proper attention to my poetry as well as my other writing. If it had not been for that inspiration, I probably not would have the book.
It is published by the same company that does my other work, and we went with a simple plastic-comb-bound, soft-cover book that is very reader-friendly. It’s only about 30 pages. Most of the poetry is on the “lightweight” side, but that’s the mood I’m often in when I write it.
Anyway just wanted you to know that it is dedicated to you with my thanks, and I would gladly send you a free copy if you’d like — since it has your name in it. I’d need your address, though, but you can e-mail me that if you like. If you’d rather not give out your mailing address, that’s fine. Just wanted you to know I appreciate you and your work enough to dedicate mine to you.
Wow! I’m floored! I thank you immensely for the tribute. I saw this when I was about to start babysitting my granddaughter and “Wow” was my response then. I come back now when I have time to answer and that’s still my response. Yes, I’ll email you my address. I’ve got another book that is very special to me and I’ll keep it alongside that one. THANKS again!
These are great, specially the second one
Thanks. Glad you liked them.
Write on, brother.
