A Rose Is A Rose
Still a rose,
Still thing of beauty
In black, white.
Tethers Cut
Glad morning:
Oh, I’ll fly away
Fly away.
Surely This One
How many
Smokers ever caught
Beard on fire?

The second haiku alludes to the song, “Some glad morning when this life
is o’er, I’ll fly away, fly away. To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly
away.”
