This One Let It Slip
A lip curl;
Eyes, a certain look –
Sneer, disdain.
The Invitation
Hungry? Cold?:
Thirsty? Foot weary?
Just lonely?
Flanders Field?
Poppies grow,
Spread, as does in war
The blood flow.

* The haiku I write are lines of 3-5-3 syllables instead of 5-7-5.

I really like how the pieces match the pictures. The last one made me cry a bit. It is beautiful to see a field of flowers. I miss my dead friends.
Thank you. Poems should evoke emotions. Hopefully, you weren’t too sad for too long.
Only since the eighties stranger. You have yourself a great day. Cheers.
Very good – like the last one.
Thank you.
Ah, the slip of the lip!
