A Bow of Boats
Just waiting
To take to the sea –
A rainbow.

Demure At Dawn
Grand ladies
Dressing modestly,
Wearing veils.

* The haiku I write are lines of 3-5-3 syllables instead of 5-7-5.

Thank you for the three amazing poems. I wish I had the ability to write a complete story in three lines.
Thank you. I’m a man of few words so perhaps I’ve trained for that all my life. 🙂
“Grand ladies
Dressing modestly,
Wearing veils”
this was very cool
Thank you!
A rainbow of boats. 😛
And the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow? – perhaps a big catch of fish. 🙂
I like the ice cream one too.
Thanks!
Number 1 and number 3 are tied as my favorites. Great poetry!
Thanks.
Great haiku, once again! Immigrants aren’t the only ones who appreciate Lady Liberty’s offering of ice cream: there’s a miniature of her that stands on the beach in West Seattle, almost across the street from where my grandparents had their apartment, and I used to pester my elders to take me over to see ‘the ice cream cone lady’!
The demure ladies are so dreamlike and lovely.
Thanks. I hope the ice cream cone lady was kind to you. 🙂
